Your Recourse

Following an administrative decision by the Inspector-Conciliator of Garantie de construction Résidentielle (GCR) which is unfavorable to you, your first reflex may be to turn to the courts of ordinary law. However, the Regulation respecting the guarantee plan for new residential buildings provides other mechanisms to help you, including mediation and arbitration.
